Tim Blackett is an award-winning author (GRANDVIEW DRIVE, 2023) living and writing on unceded Treaty 4 territory, in Regina, SK. He has 55k+ followers on TikTok (@timrblackett), and is the host of the Tim Blackett & Friends Podcast. Chantelle O’Connor is an Anishinaabek woman and mother and artist who calls Treaty 4 territory (Fishing Lake First Nation & Regina) home. Together, they have dreamt of opening a “3rd Space” where people can meet and create, where they can find new ideas, new artists and new experiences, all while feeling safe as their authentic selves. The Black Bird Commons will be a community hub, a bookshop, a cafe, a sometimes-pub and a common meeting place that features queer artists, Indigenous artists, independent authors, local poets, and more.
